Prevocational Skills Camp

Introduction
The SAMBULANCE Prevocational Skills Program is designed to build necessary skills for working in various departments including customer service, retail management, food service, and janitorial. Formal education is paired with hands-on skills in a real work environment to create an inclusive atmosphere for individuals with special needs to learn and build job related skills.

Modules are designed to engage students in job related tasks and build towards working at their appropriate level of independence. The SAMBULANCE Prevocational Skills Program follows New Jersey’s state initiative as an ‘Employment First’ state. The program aligns with the philosophy that all individuals should have the opportunity to be productive, earn a living, and feel a sense of fulfillment from employment.
